When Oatchi transformed from a standard space dog into a leafling pup, I started to theorize that the Pikmin are, in some capacity, propagating their DNA in other organisms. The phenomenon in which all those castaways, including myself, became leaflings was very likely caused by being absorbed into the Onion. Perhaps that process was also some sort of Pikmin-ification of the body. Moss is a major antagonist in Pikmin 4.
She is a space dog living on PNF-404 who befriends Captain Olimar on his quest to repair his spaceship.
Biography
After Olimar crashes his ship on PNF-404, he encounters Moss in the Blossoming Arcadia. After befriending her, she assists in gathering all the ship parts. When Olimar attempts to leave the planet, he finds out Moss had snuck onto the ship, and was suffering due to her leaf tail preventing her from leaving the planet. Olimar goes back to PNF-404, only to crash again.
When the Rescue Corps Rookie lands in Hero's Hideaway for the first time, they encounter Moss, who will gather up any stray Pikmin to use for herself.
After rescuing Olimar, Moss runs away and meets Louie, who accompanies him in kidnapping Yorke and Nelle, who hide the secret to curing Oatchi's tail, which has also become a leaf, preventing him from leaving PNF-404.
After rescuing Yorke and Nelle, Louie abandons Moss, allowing Olimar to regain control of her.
In the final credits, Moss is shown guiding the Pikmin as their new leader.
