Optigami is a butterfly or moth-themed spy camera sentimonster created by Mayura to find out the identities of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
History
Optigami was created after the events in "Miracle Queen" to spy on Ladybug's allies to discover her identity, but it never managed to discover her Ladybug's identity.
In the beginning Nathalie shows Gabriel Agreste how she tried to use Optigami to get to know Ladybug's identity. They talk about how thanks to Chloé Bourgeois's akumatization in to Miracle Queen showed all of the previous people having had a Miraculous. She thinks it useless, because Ladybug always had her head hidden. Also Optigami had no success trying to follow Ladybug.
Gabriel thinks on the contrary Optigami will help them find out who behind Ladybug's mask. He sees there's a vulnerability when the owners return the Miraculous. If Optigami was hiding in the returned Miraculous. It would lead them straight to Marinette's house. Nathalie thinks his idea is brilliant but is not sure how he will do it.
Gabriel tells that they need an event where all the holders of the Miraculous will appear. And a supervillain, which Ladybug only could beat if she gave a Miraculous to someone. He then calls Chloé's mother Audrey and tricks her into arranging a brand new award of her magazine; the monthly fashion icon. Of cause there is no better introduction to it than to give it to Gabriel's son Adrien.
Then Marinette and Alya talking together about going to the Award Show. Marinette is frozen while dreaming about Adrien. The kwamis would like to attend the show as well. But Marinette tells them that only kwamis with an owner can go on trips. Trixx says to Alya that then he can come with her because he has an owner. Marinette says no of course not, she has the Miraculous. Trixx want Marinette get the Miraculous to Alya permanently. Alya agrees, saying now when she knows Marinette is Ladybug, she could help her. Marinette says no, it would be too risky. The rules says; don't give out any Miraculouses. Alya seems disappointed but says that is Marinette who decides, and they have to go to Adrien now.
At the Award Show they see all Marinette and Adrien's friends from school. When they are waiting for the elevator to open Alya and Nino make a special handshake. They make the same handshake when the sit and wait for the show to begin. Audrey starts yelling at the cameraman, telling him to start filming. He says they have to wait for Alec, he's the moderator. Then Optigami flying into a poster of Adrien and Nathalie telling Scarlet Moth that Optigami is in place.
Scarlet Moth says that Ladybug has no idea that her defeat will be captured on tape. And that's the best part. He then enters the men's restroom, Alec is playing something on his phone. Scarlet Moth then takes an amok and creates a sentimonster name Senti Alec. When the real Alec comes out from the bathroom, he is confused about seeing someone looking just like him.
When Senti Alec enters the show, he starts to by humiliating Audrey, who in turn tries to humiliate him back. Even Chloé laughs at it, Audrey's feelings are perfect for Shadow Moth to akumatize her. He sends an akuma to evilized her into Style Queen who now can turn people into golden glitter.
When Audrey starts to attack the people at the show we see Nathalie in her room. She sees that Kagami, the holder of the Dragon Miraculous has been defeated. She then commands Optigami to search for the other Miraculous holders.
Adrien and Marinette ends up together in the elevator so they can't transform to Ladybug or Cat Noir. Back in Nathalie's room, she sees that Chloé, the holder of the Bee Miraculous is defeated and orders Optigami to find more of the other holders. Optigami sees that Max tries to guide a lot of people out of the building. Shadow Moth tells Style Queen that people are trying to escape the building. Therefore she shows up and turns all the people to golden glitter and the building into a gold glitter building to trap the rest of the people in the building.
In the elevator Marinette texts Alya saying she is stuck in the elevator with Adrien. Then Nino gets a text from Adrien who says that he is trapped in the elevator with Marinette, both Nino and Alya seems happy because Marinette and Adrien are together. Optigami also show Nathalie that both Chloé, the holder of the Bee Miraculous and Luka, the holder of the Snake Miraculous are turned in golden glitter. In the elevator Optigami is spying on Marinette and Adrien when Marinette is trying to call the kwamis. Adrien sees it and tells Marinette so she doesn't reveal anything to Optigami. In stead Optigami shows Nathalie how Lê Chién Kim, the holder of the Monkey Miraculous is eliminated. Then Shadow Moth says that this only leaves Alya and Nino the Fox and the Turtle left for their plan.
Later on Shadow Moth creates Senti Nino and Optigami watches when Alya as Rena Rouge gives Senti Nino the Turtle Miraculous. When Senti Nino transforms into Sentipace, Shadow Moth tell Optigami to merge with the miraculous.
After they defeat Style Queen, Ladybug still hasn't used her Lucky Charm which confuses her. Standing with her back to Alya and Nino she says, that she might only need it to fix everything, But then she sees Alya and Nino giving a handshake where Nino seems not to know how they usually does it. She remembers how Shadow Moth knows the identity of people she gave a Miraculous to. She then realizes how Nino is a sentimonster. Shadow Moth is furius and can't figure out how Ladybug found out. Ladybug then tells Cat Noir to destroy the Miraculous for her. When the amok flies out from the Miraculous we see Nathalie getting a headache, Shadow Moth is furious and getting rid of both Senti Nino and Optigami.
