Shield Sheldon is one of the eight bosses of game Mega Man X.

Shield Sheldon was created by Gate to serve as bodyguard for important people including to chiefs of searches. Sheldon believes he failed to protect Dr. Jim a laser researcher he was protecting, and he had choice when he turned Maverick, but his actions were poorly interpreted by the Maverick Hunters who arrived at the scene he was charged of a Maverick. He could not deal with shame a stress and decided to commit suicide, he was later resurrected by the Gate to search the Nightmare, he then seeing an opportunity he tried to fulfill his mission as bodyguard even if it cost his life, he then had a confrontation like the Maverick Hunters in which he was defeated.
