Indoraptor is the secondary antagonist of 2018 action science-fiction movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
It was an artificial dinosaur created from the recovered genetic material of Indominus rex merged with Blue's DNA to make a smaller variant capable of infiltrating closed areas like houses.
Its sound effects were a mixture of chihuahua, a dental drill, a lion, a pig, and a cougar.
History
Origin
During the events of Camp Cretaceous, dr. Henry Wu returned to Isla Nublar in order to retrieve the laptop with the data regarding the hybrid creation, including a preserved genetic sample of Indominus rex. After the mission was a success, the prototype Indoraptor was created in the secret laboratory below the Lockwood Mansion. In order to force it to learn to follow the lasers assisted with ultrasonic noises, InGen used telescopic shock prods to constantly abuse the creature, making it develop psychopathic tendencies.
However, its genome was incomplete, so dr. Wu required a biological material from a Velociraptor.
Fallen Kingdom
During an argument between dr. Wu and Eli Mills, Maisie Lockwood sneaked into an underground laboratory, where she accidentally stumbled into a small cage that housed the Indoraptor. The deformity reached through bars and gently touched her hair, startling her and revealing her position to Mills, who locked her within her own bedroom.
Evening a day later, after his mercenaries returned from Isla Nublar, an auction was held inside Lockwood Mansion, where the smuggled dinosaurs were sold. Gunnar Eversol presented the Indoraptor, showcasing its ability to react to ultrasonic noises and laser targeting system. The guests immediately started offering prices, but he told them that the hybrid is not for sale, only for them to continue. Eli Mills changed his mind, considering that the prototype was meant to be killed off and replaced with another anyway. The Russian mobster Anton Orlov ultimately won at the prize of over 27 million dollars, with Eversol accepting his money.
Before the abomination could be delivered, a Stygimoloch arrived in the elevator and started to kill people, with Owen Grady following close behind. Indoraptor and the Velociraptor handler exchanged a look at each other, before the latter followed the fleeing Eli Mills. With no one else present at the scene, Ken Wheatley tranquilized a dinosaur, entered the cage and attempted to remove its tooth for his necklace. However, it would not come out of the gum. He heard the tail hit the ground, and when he turned around, Indoraptor opened its eye and formed a grimace, before turning around and ripping off his arm. The hybrid waited a few seconds for the hunter to process the shock, then ate him alive.
With the cage still opened, the Indoraptor took a bounding step forward, attracted by the sound of the guests and Eversol still hiding in the elevator. The auctioneer did close the doors in time, but the creature's tail hit a control panel, breaking it and forcing the machine open. This allowed it to rip apart everyone at the scene. Following the human scent, it killed Eli Mills' guards, inadvertently saving Owen and Claire's lives, and allowed the businessman to escape.
Indoraptor continued to chase after the trio throughout the mansion, with the light getting turned off to prevent it from visually detecting heroes. However, due to Zia and Franklin rebooting the system, the darkness was dissipated, thus allowing the theropod to find the trio hiding behind the glass with dinosaur figures. It violently busted through the structure, with metal beams collapsing on the massive creature. With Claire pinned down, Indoraptor pierced her thigh with a hook claw, then rushed after a fleeing Maisie.
The dinosaur's immense size hindered its ability to navigate through the mansion, constantly slamming itself into walls, and as it galloped towards the girl, she escaped through the vent elevator. Frustrated, the abomination climbed onto the roof of the building and roared in the moonlight, then crawled its way into the child's bedroom, carefully opening the balcony door. It reached very slowly towards her, and then Owen entered with a shotgun, only for the hybrid to prove itself bulletproof, standing on two legs fully upright, towering over the man.
Blue appeared and attacked it, leaping onto its back. Despite its superior size, Indoraptor had trouble due to not being able to reach her, but it eventually overpowered her and threw out of the window. Following Maisie onto the glass roof, the theropod carefully crawled towards her and Owen, but was distracted by Claire hitting one of the steel beams repeatedly and shouting. The hybrid proceeded to start backing up in her direction, only to see a laser projected out of the riffle, with ultrasonic whistle activated. Indoraptor lunged at Owen, who ducked underneath the massive monster, breaking the glass, but its muscular arms and grasping hands allowed to pull itself onto the ledge. The Velociraptor appeared again, shoving the abomination through a hole in the roof and impaling it on a Agujaceratops skull's horns, killing it.
