Sandra Jennifer Olivia "Sandy" Cheeks is a major character in the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise.

She is one of SpongeBob SquarePants's best friends, notable for her Texan characteristics, stereotypical accent and passion for science. Despite usually being a protagonistic heroine, she sometimes has her antagonistic moments.

She is voiced by Carolyn Lawrence, who also voices Cindy Vortex in the Jimmy Neutron franchise.

In "Squirrel Jelly" Sandy is the secondary antagonist where SpongeBob and Patrick introduce her to nature friendly jellyfishing, Sandy takes over and transforms it into a brutal, dangerous sport. Her antagonistic behavior includes her as She locks SpongeBob and Patrick inside her Treedome, forcing them into a grueling, militaristic training montage. She attacks and captures every jellyfish in the Jellyfish Fields using high tech, aggressive gear, destroying the ecosystem. When SpongeBob and Patrick try to stop her, she hunts them down like prey. when she attacks a colossal, god like No Name jellyfish. It overpowers her, forcing her to realize her competitive drive has gone too far, leading her to reform and release the jellyfish.
